It is obvious that our elected officials cannot seem to agree about walls but Samsung just revealed theirs. This new item also proves Ray Bradbury right again. Samsung has created their new 219 inch TV and they call it The Wall. Ray Bradbury wrote the following in the novel Fahrenheit 451 in 1953, “It’s really fun. It’ll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a wall-TV put in.” A wall TV?
In 1953 televisions screens were tiny, black and white, one basic speaker and no remote control. Bradbury envisioned wall-sized televisions that were installed in our living rooms or “parlors” with many colors, high volume, reality television shows and a myriad of other things we see in similar form today.
