We watched Wonder (2017) as a family the other night. It truly was full of wonder and wonderful. It is about Auggie who was born with severe facial deformity. He has been schooled at home his whole life and is about to enter a school with “normal” kids in the fall, fifth grade. It is time for him to take the helmet off. Helmet or not, “You can't blend in when you were born to stand out.” The world can be an awfully cruel place even if you are not all alone. But this family cares for one another. They are not perfect but there is love, mistakes and forgiveness. Amazingly the father is not an unemotional ass or a bumbling idiot. It took a few twists and turns I did not expect and is currently on Amazon Prime. I highly recommend you watch it!
